The Nephilim: Did They Exist and Where Did They Come From?

The Nephilim are an extremely controversial part of scripture. The two main topics of discussion are if they existed, and if they did exist, where did they come from? Many Christians believe they existed, but there is debate on if they were normal humans or offspring of fallen angels. Many Christians do not believe that the Nephilim were fallen angel offspring because they do not believe that being a hybrid is possible. They do not believe a person can be both man and fallen angel. Many non-believers doubt the existence of the Nephilim and feel that they were simply tall people with overexaggerated heights. With Stella Immanuel being attacked for referencing the Nephilim by the term “demon sperm”, I felt like I needed to touch on this topic.

Is Being A Hybrid Possible?

Many believers doubt the possibility of someone being a hybrid, yet forget that Jesus was a hybrid. Jesus was 100% man and 100% God at the same time, which is a hybrid between God and man. Along with this, The 4 four living creatures in heaven are hybrids between multiple species.

Revelation 4:7-8 “And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.”

No earthly calf, man or lion has wings, and an eagle does not have 6 wings. This shows that these creatures are a hybrid of multiple creatures. There is no question that being a mix of multiple creatures and beings is possible, the only question is if this was the case with the Nephilim.

The Sons of God

The first mention of the Nephilim in scripture is found in Genesis 6:2-4.

Genesis 6:2-4 “That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown.”

The term “sons of God” is widely debated. Many people simply attribute this to men, yet this term appears in the Bible in other places. These following Bible verses prove that they were angels.

Job 1:6 “Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.”

Job 2:1 “Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them to present himself before the Lord.”

Job 38:7 “When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?”

These verses are talking about things in heaven, which shows that they cant be earthly men. They also presented themselves before God along with satan, which is clearly something going on in the spirit realm. Putting Genesis and Job together paints the picture that a certain group of angels married women and had children with them, who became the Nephilim (giants). Through this, there is one more piece to the Biblical puzzle.

The Book of Enoch Tells Everything In Detail

The book of Enoch is the most reliable non-canonized biblical book. The Book of Enoch is even quoted and referenced to in the Bible in books such as Jude and 2 Peter. Below is the entire chapter of Enoch 6

Enoch 6

“1. And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters. 2. And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: ‘Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men and beget us children.’ 3. And Semjâzâ, who was their leader, said unto them: ‘I fear ye will not indeed agree to do this deed, and I alone shall have to pay the penalty of a great sin.’ 4. And they all answered him and said: ‘Let us all swear an oath, and all bind ourselves by mutual imprecations not to abandon this plan but to do this thing.’ 5. Then sware they all together and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it. 6. And they were in all two hundred; who descended ⌈in the days⌉ of Jared on the summit of Mount Hermon, and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it. 7. And these are the names of their leaders: Sêmîazâz, their leader, Arâkîba, Râmêêl, Kôkabîêl, Tâmîêl, Râmîêl, Dânêl, Êzêqêêl, Barâqîjâl, Asâêl, Armârôs, Batârêl, Anânêl, Zaqîêl, Samsâpêêl, Satarêl, Tûrêl, Jômjâêl, Sariêl. 8. These are their chiefs of tens.”

This verse CLEARLY illustrates that the angles came down from heaven and took wives.

Enoch 7 and 8 talks about their offspring being giants and how they committed great sins. It also mentions how the secrets of the heavens were revealed to mankind

Enoch 7

“1. And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them, and they taught them charms and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants. 2. And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells: 3. Who consumed all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them, 4. the giants turned against them and devoured mankind. 5. And they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another’s flesh, and drink the blood. 6. Then the earth laid accusation against the lawless ones.”

Enoch 8

And Azâzêl taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals 〈of the earth〉 and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all colouring tinctures. 2. And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways. Semjâzâ taught enchantments, and root-cuttings, Armârôs the resolving of enchantments, Barâqîjâl, (taught) astrology, Kôkabêl the constellations, Ezêqêêl the knowledge of the clouds, 〈Araqiêl the signs of the earth, Shamsiêl the signs of the sun〉, and Sariêl the course of the moon. And as men perished, they cried, and their cry went up to heaven . . .”

Not only does this show that their offspring were giants (the Nephilim), but it also proves my claim in the post about true Christianity being under attacked, in which I claimed that the angels taught them things such as astrology, witchcraft and medicine. This is where our modern knowledge about things in this field comes from, and how ancient civilizations were able to align structures, such a pyramids, with the stars and constellations.

Enoch made it clear that the angels came down and decided to marry women. He then explains how they had children, and that their offspring became giants. These giants were killing men left and right, and their cry went up to heaven. The angels were punished, which is why they are fallen angels, with Azazel and Semjaza being punished the worst. Semjaza because he was the leader and Azazel because he revealed many of the secrets of heaven to man. The next few chapters talk about what Genesis covers in the Flood of Noah. Genesis and Enoch are telling the same story of the Flood of Noah, Enoch just goes farther back and goes more into detail.

Non-Biblical Evidence of the Nephilim

Now that we’ve clearly established that the Bible and Enoch said that angels had children with women, who became giants, I want to provide non-Biblical evidence for this claim for those who do not believe that the Bible is 100% reliable. I have decided to use pictures to illustrate my claim.

The Nephilim Will Return

Hopefully, it has become clear to you who the Nephilim really were. They are not a fairytale species made up by the Bible, nor were they just tall human beings. These creatures were half-human, half-demonic-fallen-angel. There is both Biblical and non-Biblical proof they exist. The Bible is once again proven right, yet we have people trying to prove the Bible inaccurate with things such as the Smithsonian lie. The Bible always will prevail.

It is also possible that the Nephilim will return

Matthew 24:37-39 says “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

The Nephilim were on the earth during the days of Noah, and they were part of the reason God sent the flood. The earth completely parallels the wickedness going on during the days of Noah, yet it is missing one key detail. The Nephilim returning makes it exactly as it was during the days of Noah.

The most likely occurrence is that the fallen angels return back to earth, but under the name of “aliens”. It can be claimed that they were “aliens from outer space”, but we believers know that they are fallen angels. If they return, it makes it highly possible that the Nephilim return. Do not fear them, rather trust in God, and know that these are signs that the return of Jesus is coming closer.
