Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome ARE NOT The 4 Beasts Of Daniel 7

Similar to the book of Revelation, the book of Daniel contains many end-times prophecies. The most widely known prophecy is one of the 4 beasts in Daniel 7. The first beast is a lion with eagle’s wings, the second is a bear with three ribs in its mouth, the third is a leopard with 4 wings and 4 heads, the last is a dreadful beast with 10 horns.

The traditional teaching is that the lion with eagle’s wings is Babylon, the bear is Persia, the leopard is Greece and the 10 horned beast is Rome. This teaching is popular because of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream in Daniel 2, which is actually about Babylon, Greece, Persia and Rome. Many people just label Daniel 2 and Daniel 7 as being about the same thing, but this is an erroneous assumption.

There is one major flaw with this teaching: When explaining the vision, Daniel said that these are 4 kingdoms that SHALL arise.

Daniel 7:17 “These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.”

Daniel says that these kings, synonymous with nations, shall arise. When this was written, Babylon was already in power, while Persia, under Cyrus the Great, was conquering the middle-east and about to conquer Babylon. Two of the supposed four beasts were already there, which is a major flaw in the traditional teaching of this prophecy.

What Is The Correct Interpretation?

These four beasts are four kingdoms that would arise during the end-times. We know this because Daniel 7:21-22 makes it know that the fourth beast has authority until the time of judgment. People attribute that to the continued Papacy, but that is inaccurate, and the Papacy is dealt with in Revelation. These four beasts can be identified in our current world, when paying attention to the symbols and the specific words Daniel said.

The Lion With Eagle’s Wings – The United Kingdom and the USA

Daniel 7:4 “The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.”

When looking at symbols, you see a clear parallel to the United Kingdom and the United States. The symbol of the UK is a lion, while the symbol of the USA is an eagle. On top of this, we see the eagle’s wings plucked from the lion, which is symbolic of the US separating itself from England in 1776. The amazing part is that the Bible told us over 2,500 years ago that a nation represented by an eagle would come out of a nation represented by a lion.

The Bear Beast – Russia

Daniel 7:5 “And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.”

Russia heavily associates itself with bears, which is why it is represented by a bear. The bear raising itself on one side is symbolic for the heavy shift towards communism during the Russian Revolution. Communism was heavily favored during that time, with capitalism being shunned out. Russia had turned only towards communism; it turned towards one side. You see the beast devouring much flesh fulfilled through the Russian Revolution. An estimated 7-12 million civilians were killed, along with millions more in wars.

Though Russia is not a communist regime anymore, that does not change the damage done, nor the fact that Russia is the bear beast. I do believe that Russia, and the entire world with it, will turn back to communism, but it will be rebranded as “a world government to keep the peace”.

The Leopard With Wings – The European Union

Daniel 7:6 “After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.”

The European Union beast is not as easy to identify as the other three, as the symbolism takes a bit of research. The leopard heads represent Germany, while the fowl wings represent France.

The reason these two nations are used for the imagery is that these two countries founded the European Union. While there were other countries that signed the pact, these two countries took the forefront in the founding of the EU.

Germany – The Leopard

Germany’s symbol is a leopard. Though they use an eagle on their coat of arms, they are widely known by the leopard. Their coat of arms was once a leopard and they used to wear it on shields. They even sold tanks during wars called the leopard. Germany is symbolically connected with the leopard, just as the US is with the eagle and the UK is with the lion.

France – The Fowl

There are three main animals that can be described as a fowl, that being a chicken, rooster and a hen. Uncoincidentally, the symbol of France is a rooster. This symbol dates a far back as the Roman Empire.

The 4 Heads and the Deadly Wound

Daniel 7:6 told us that this beast would have dominion, and that is manifested through the four heads. Each head represents a regime that was spearheaded by Germany.

1st Regime – The Holy Roman Empire

The Holy Roman Empire was founded by Charlemagne, King of the Franks. Charlemagne was a German, and the Franks were a Germanic people ruled by the Merovingian Dynasty. Interestingly enough, the Franks are now modern-day France and Germany, who are the two main parts of this beast. Though it kept the title of being Roman, the “Holy Roman Empire” was ruled by Germans. They had great authority and power, and kept this great power until the Napoleonic Wars.

2nd Regime – Otto Von Bismarck’s Regime

Otto Von Bismarck is greatly responsible for the unification of Germany. Bismarck was known as the “Prince of Bismarck”, which is a title of German nobility. During his time in power, he became their first chancellor and greatly advanced Germany. For nearly 20 years, Germany dominated European politics and affairs under his leadership.

3rd Regime – Hitler and Nazi Germany

Hitler and Nazi Germany are the most infamous of the four regimes. Hitler wanted to unify Europe under his regime, and he got awfully close. He wiped out millions of Jews and conquered most of Europe. The concentration camps just add more flame to the fire when talking about the evil things Nazi Germany did. It is also not a coincidence that Hitler considered his regime the “3rd Reich”, with the Holy Roman Empire being called the 1st and the German Empire under Bismarck being the 2nd.

The Deadly Wound Healed – The Berlin Wall Torn Down

When reading Revelation 13, you see the Leopard beast combined with the other 2 beasts (This is what the 4th beast is, we will cover this shortly). It talks about the beast having a deadly wound, but that it was healed. The bear and lion were given specific body parts, while the rest was attributed to the leopard. An assumption can be made that the head that was wounded belongs to the leopard.

This deadly wound was the Berlin Wall. Journalists at the time even referred to the wall as “Germany’s Deadly Wound” (They love to make it obvious). This wall was put in place because of the Cold War, and the battle between Communism and Capitalism; there was a Communist and a Capitalist side of Germany. This separation prevented Germany from having dominion over Europe for a short season. The “deadly wound” was healed when the wall was torn down and Germany was united as one. Not even 5 years after the wall was torn down, the 4th regime of Germany started

The 4th Regime – The European Union

As stated earlier, the European Union was founded by Germany and France, with other countries joining in. The European Union is the final form of this 3rd beast. We’ve seen it transition from the Holy Roman Empire to the European Union, while still being under the rule of and guidance of Germany. For the 4th time, Germany has great dominion over Europe. France and Germany go hand-in-hand here, as they both descended from the Franks, and both had major roles in the European Union; they are the guiding force of the 3rd beast, but it is CLEAR that Germany has a much greater influence.

God Highlighted The Separation Between The European Union and The UK

People were stunned when the UK left the European Union, and nobody believed this would happen, as the European Union was growing in power. This established CLEAR separation between the UK and the European Union. If you’ve noticed from the beasts, God had one beast for the UK and another for the European Union. Though the UK is in Europe, God told us through this prophecy that they were separate. The United Kingdom, in a way, fulfilled this prophecy even more when they left the European Union. It brought clarity to why the European Union and the UK received separate beasts.

7 Headed, 10 Horned Beast – The United Nations

Daniel 7:7-8 “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.”

I will also include Revelation 13:1-3 as it is talking about the same beast, but gives slightly more detail.

Revelation 13:1-3 “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.”

The Bible Does Not Miss A Detail!

When reading Revelation 13, there are three key details that could easily be missed. The first is that the eagle’s wings are nowhere to be found, the second is that this is a combination of the first 3 beasts of Daniel 7 and the last is that each beast is given a body part.

No USA In The Beast

We see parts of the leopard, bear and lion, but the eagle’s wings are not there. This means that the US will not unify with the UN, but also that the US would have to be taken by force. Regardless of where you live, every nation will be under the authority of the beast. When the time comes, we will not willingly join the beast. There are too many Christians here who are aware of what is coming for us to willingly join the beast system. I have no idea how things will happen, but the US will fall from its spot as the major world power, which will allow for the beast system to take over.

The Body Parts Of The Beast Are Important

As I stated earlier, the leopard had the head and the deadly wound. This wound was the Berlin Wall that divided Germany and prevented it from continuing to have dominion over Europe. The beast is mostly like a leopard, which shows the European influence of it.

The mouth of a lion is another testament to how God reveals things ahead of time. The lion is the UK, and the mouth deals with speaking. The primary language in the world is English, which comes from the UK. God told us that the tongue of the lion, the UK, would be the tongue of the beast. In a sense, he told us that they would speak English.

The feet are a symbol of foundation. The bear is Communist Russia, which shows you the foundation of the beast will be based upon Communism. Though Russia abandoned its Communist regime, it does not change the foundation on how it became a world power. The United Nations will adopt these Communist ideologies, which is why it has the feet of the bear

The little horn in Daniel 7 is the antichrist. He will come up and lead this beast, which is a mix of world empires. The antichrist is a broad topic, which is why I will dedicate another article to him.

In Conclusion

These 4 beasts are end times kingdoms that are here now. We see that the 4th is a combination of the 1st three, but without the US. These beasts coming together is a uniting of nations. The United Nations is the major part of the beast system, with the Papacy being a smaller part. If needed, another article going in-depth on the United Nations will be done. Lastly, be wise and prepare yourself for what is coming. The whole world will worship the beast and partake in the beast system and I pray you are not part of it.
