We at Real Truth Speaker believe that salvation comes only from belief in the Messiah Jesus Christ. There is only one way to God, and the only way to reach God is through Jesus. We believe in the Plan of Salvation found in Acts 2:38, which is to repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus, and receive the Holy Spirit. Though God’s love is unconditional, we believe salvation is conditional, meaning you can fall away from the faith. We do not accept the doctrine of “Once Saved Always Saved”, as 1 Thessalonians 2:1-3 tells us that a falling away from the faith, an apostasy, would happen before the man of sin is revealed and Jesus returns; we see this in our current society with many departing from the faith and adapting anti-God ideologies.
Accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, along with turning from your wicked ways are both necessities for salvation. Once you get saved, you cannot continue to sin and live like the world. As believers of The Way, we are set apart from the world, and we are in the world, but not of it. We are also not to partake in worldly traditions and pagan holidays, such as Easter, as they are of the world and not of the Father.
Lastly, developing a personal relationship with God and praying often are both extremely important. This prevents lukewarmness and allows you to hear from God. The Holy Spirit is key in guiding you and keeping you in check when you steer off into the wrong path. There is only one way to salvation and God made it clear: Accept Jesus Christ as your savior, repent, be baptized, and turn from your wicked ways.
