List of God’s (Alahiym’s) Names

In conjunction with the article that covers the history of God’s (Alahiym’s) name), this article will include an extensive (not exhaustive) list of God’s (Alahiym’s) names in the Bible. We will not use “Jehovah”, as that is a mistranslation of His name, and we will not use “Yahweh”, as that name is not aligned with Paleo-Hebrew. Instead, we will use YAHUAH, which was His original name. I’ll also point out that Yahusha the Messiah is more aligned with the Paleo-Hebrew than Jesus Christ, and that the letters “e”, “w”, “v”, and “o” very likely didn’t exist in Paleo-Hebrew, which is why many words have been rendered differently than you may be used to (the exception to this is Adonai, as I am not completely sure of the spelling that is aligned with Paleo-Hebrew).

NOTE: Please pay attention to the difference between LORD and Lord (and the difference between GOD and God)

Adonai – Lord (Isaiah 6:1) (can also be Adon)

Alahiym – God (Genesis 1:1)

Al Shaddai – God Almighty (Genesis 28:3)

Shaddai – Almighty (Psalm 91:1)

Al Alyun – God Most High (Genesis 14:18)

Alyun – Most High (Psalm 91:1)

Al Rui – God Who Sees (Genesis 16:13)

Al Ulam – Everlasting God (Genesis 21:33)

Al Gibbor – Mighty God (Isaiah 9:6)

YHWH-Nissi – The LORD Is My Banner (Exodus 17:15)

YHWH-Ruphaka (sometimes Rapha) – The LORD Who Heals (Exodus 15:26)

YHWH-Shammah – The LORD Is There (Ezekiel 48:35)

YHWH-Shalum – The LORD Is Peace (Judges 6:24)

YHWH Tsidkanu – The LORD Our Righteousness (Jeremiah 23:6)

Abba – Father (Mark 14:36)

Ahyah Ashar Ahyah – I AM THAT I AM (Exodus 3:14)

Atik Yumin – Ancient of Days (Daniel 7:9)

Alaph-Tau (or the Alaph and the Tau) – Alpha and Omega/Beginning and End (Revelation 1:8)

NOTE: “Tzavaut” is often transliterated as “Sabaoth“, and “Yirah” is often spelled “Jireh”

CONCLUSION

I pray that this article blessed (baruk) you, and that you begin to use some of these names in prayer and worship. God (Alahiym) obviously hears you when you refer to him as “The LORD”, but there is a special nearness attached to calling God (Alahiym) by His name YAHUAH. He wants His name proclaimed throughout all the earth (Exodus 9:16) and He wants us to call on His name, for it is exalted (Isaiah 12:4). We should all call on the name of YAHUAH, Who is worthy to be praised (Psalm 18:3).
