Understanding The Antichrist

The Antichrist is a central figure in the end times. He will lead the world into Satan’s deception, and ultimately, to the lake of fire. He will be able to do this because of the strong delusion in this world, as many will blindly follow him. Concurrently, the world is going to be brought to its knees, as the old world system must fall. This calamity will push people on the fence to make a decision; submit to the Antichrist or die. Some believers will be kept from the coming tribulation, as Jesus promised the Church of Philadelphia (Revelation 3:10), but there will undoubtedly be Christians who are forced to make a life-or-death decision (don’t view it that way, but rather as a salvation decision; Matthew 10:28, Mark 8:36). While the times ahead seem scary, God gave us His word to warn us and prepare us for it. This article will cover the Antichrist and what he will do when he comes.

Who Is The Antichrist

When the old world system falls, the Antichrist will be the leader of the new world. He is called by many names, such as the Son of Perdition & Man of Sin (2 Thessalonians 2:3), Lawless One (2 Thessalonians 2:8), Little Horn (Daniel 7), and The Beast (Revelation 19:20).

Just as Satan wants to counterfeit God the Father, the Antichrist wants to counterfeit Jesus. He is coming to be the “messiah figure” for a world desperately waiting for someone to save them. He will simultaneously be the Maitreya, Avatar, and Mahdi, as Buddhism, Hinduism, and Islam are awaiting the arrival of their messiah, or enlightened being. Compromised Christians and those in New Age Spiritualism will see him as another incarnation of Jesus, or someone who has reached Christ-consciousness and is leading the world into the Aquarian Age. But most significantly, he will be hailed as the “Jewish Messiah”, and will assist with the building of the Third Temple (Revelation 11).

The Antichrist will seemingly have all the solutions. He’ll know how to solve the Israel/Palestine conflict, how to deal with climate change, and how to solve food, wealth, and education inequality. If this seems far-fetched, please read the UN Agenda 2030 goals, as they essentially lay out his platform.

He will promise “peace”, but his “peace” is what will cause sudden destruction (Daniel 8:25). He will allow the Jews to rebuild their temple and make sacrifices there, but will commit an egregious act of blasphemy against God, known as the Abomination of Desolation (Matthew 24:15-22). Moreover, I believe that he will orchestrate a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine, putting these groups at “peace” with each other. I also see a world where the entire financial system, government structures, and agricultural industries are reshaped, as everyone will be named a “global citizen” in the new world. The point here is that the Antichrist will be the one to “solve” the world’s issues.

How Will He Come To Power?

The question you may now ask is how he will do all of this. The honest truth is that he will be given this power by the rulers of the world. (Revelation 13:4; 17:3) He won’t take over the world through conquest, but rather through diplomacy. I believe that he will step onto the scene, when the time is right, and guide the world.

The time will be right when the world is plunged into utter chaos. I’m talking about WW3 breaking out, and the world being devasted by nuclear and cyber attacks. Add this to the world economy collapsing (especially the US dollar), food shortages, pestilences and diseases breaking out, and an increase in natural disasters (read Matthew 24, Revelation 6-9). The world would be in utter chaos, and the 6th Trumpet may describe these events as killing 1/3rd of the world. If over 2.5 billion people died from a war, the world would undoubtedly be looking for solutions, and that’s where the Antichrist comes in.

Instead of turning the God amidst the chaos, the world will turn to Satan and his agenda.

What Is The Identity of the Antichrist?

The Bible doesn’t directly tell us who the Antichrist is, but I have some theories. I want to start by making it known that people like Barack Obama and Donald Trump ARE NOT the Antichrist! I doubt that the Antichrist will even be American, but more importantly, the Antichrist will be universally loved and accepted. Trump and Obama are both too divisive to be the Antichrist (for example, the entire world would never follow Donald Trump). Below are two theories I have on the identity of the Antichrist, and I know that I could be egregiously wrong; only time I will tell.

Theory 1 – The Antichrist is a well-respected Muslim

This theory hinges on the fact that the Antichrist must be the Muslim Mahdi, if he is going to be their messiah figure. Muslims will only accept a direct descendant of Muhammad as their Mahdi, so it is reasonable to theorize that the Antichrist will be a Muslim. Descendants of Muhammad are often known as “Sayyids”, and the most notable group of people today who descend from Muhammad are the Hashemite Royal Family of Jordan. Of that family, Prince Hassan bin Talal, or his son Rashid bin Hassan, are the top candidates (in my opinion) to be the Antichrist.

Theory 2 – The Antichrist is from a European royal family

This theory comes from the idea that Satan has been trying to preserve a bloodline for the Antichrist. The Da Vinci Code and the discourse about Jesus and Mary Magdalene secretly having a child (which is false) are examples of this in modern culture. There are also mythological stories about “The Chosen One” or “King Arthur” coming to rule the world. Moreover, Satanic elite families care a lot about their bloodlines, which is why they practice heavy inbreeding (it is considered scandalous to marry a “commoner” outside the bloodline). If this theory is true, the Antichrist would likely come from the British Royal family, with Prince William being the top candidate.

However, I want to remind you that these are just theories, and the identity of the Antichrist is not that important in the grand scheme of things. He will be destroyed by Jesus, so it is more important that you are prepared to endure to the end and wait for Jesus’ coming.

Conclusion

I pray that this article helped you understand the topic of the Antichrist. He is coming to rule the world, and he will be a messiah figure for a world desperately waiting on one. The sad truth is that the world has rejected the true Messiah, Jesus, in favor of Satan’s false messiah. However, this does not have to be you. Things are going to get bad, but you cannot afford to submit to the Antichrist. The Bible calls us to endure to the end, and we will be saved (Matthew 24:13). So whether you survive the tribulation, or are killed for the faith, those who refuse to bow down to the Antichrist will receive their reward in the end (Revelation 20). So do not submit to the Antichrist under any circumstances; do not worship the beast!
